Tropical Infection
Malaria or malarial fever is a tropical infection caused by the parasite Plasmodium, which is hosted at the Anopheles mosquito. This insect is responsible (vector) of transmission. Lives in wetlands and waters, and for this reason, the infection has been described as transmitting malaria, an Italian word meaning “bad air” (air dense and typical of bogs), or malaria, which comes from the voice Latin “palus (pond or swamp).
Anopheles, those living in moist areas, it is nocturnal, and bites, especially between dusk and dawn. The transmission of infection for females, since they only feed on blood to nourish their eggs, while males feed on plant juices. To bite an infected person to get your blood and Plasmodium, the female passes the Anopheles, which carries the plasmodium in their saliva and infects people through their bites.
Without treatment, malaria can kill by destroying red blood cells
When this occurs, the parasite travels through the bloodstream to the liver where they mature and multiply very quickly, after an incubation period, back to the blood, and while there is still multiplying destroys red blood cells.
